STEM for inclusive schools

Overview

In the ERASMUS+ project STEM for inclusive schools we aim to empower STEM professionals to create new opportunities for learning and teaching STEM subjects through the use of digital technology, and to see this as an effective initiative for addressing the challenges of active participation in the STEM field.

The project STEM for inclusive schools project empowers STEM professionals and the school community to develop inclusive ways to increase interest and participation in STEM and to enhance participants' skills through innovative digital offerings. The aim here is to use the possibilities of digital resources in the STEM field to provide high quality solutions for learning scenarios and individual requirements.

This aim is followed in four work packages.

  • Work package 4: Guidebook focused on Increasing STEM Participation

Objective

Procedure:

The aim of the project is to empower STEM professionals and the school community to develop inclusive ways to increase interest and participation in STEM. They will develop their skills by offering new opportunities to use digital resources in STEM to provide high-quality feedback on different learning opportunities.

To ensure the success of our initiatives and measures to increase participation in STEM, we will consider the following key dimensions in the project:

  • Increased inclusion
  • Increased use of digital technology
  • Evaluation for the purpose of effective feedback
  • Guidance and support


Objectives:

  • Encourage teachers to integrate technology more into their teaching in the STEM fields
  • Support teachers in adapting STEM content using digital resources to suit the respective context and the associated conditions and needs, taking into account different learning styles and needs
  • Support teachers in identifying learning difficulties and possible gaps in knowledge and skills, and in developing an effective monitoring and feedback structure
  • Expand the skills, knowledge and abilities of staff in partner organizations with regard to strategies, learning models and digital technologies, as well as assessment, evaluation and evaluation procedures that can be used to promote inclusion
  • Provide opportunities to strengthen the school community in order to create an inclusive school climate
