How do ideas become successful innovations? And how do research findings find their way into our everyday lives? On Thursday, 15 May, the new podcast "Wissen2Wirtschaft ...und zurück", a joint project of Paderborn University and the Paderborn Economic Development Agency, will be launched.

Experiments with Bunsen burners and the like outside the laboratory buildings: this is possible at Paderborn University. Students can complete practical courses in the "VirtuChemLab" with the help of VR glasses and thus acquire basic scientific knowledge.
The New Mobility Paderborn (NeMo) initiative and the NeMo.bil project it initiated, which is sponsored by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection (BMWK) with more than 18 million euros, have reached the next milestone.

The "BeneluxNet" platform of the Belgium Centre (BELZ) at Paderborn University has been online since 8 April. The aim is to provide an in-depth presentation of the Benelux region as the economic, political and cultural heartland of Europe and an important partner for Germany, particularly North Rhine-Westphalia.
Elections are held for the Senate, the Faculty Boards of the five faculties, the Student Parliament (StuPA) and the directly elected student representative bodies (student representatives and student councils).

With the NRW Return Programme, the state of North Rhine-Westphalia sponsors young academics who have ventured abroad from Germany and now wish to return to NRW.
Under the motto "Data-driven Industry - Shaping a New Era", numerous partners from industry and science will be presenting innovative solutions at the Hannover Messe under the umbrella of the Industry 4.0 platform's joint stand. Paderborn University is also represented with the "Decide4ECO" and "NeMo.bil" projects.

Paderborn University's Software Innovation Campus (SICP) will be represented at this year's Hannover Messe. From 31 March to 4 April, it will be presenting a total of eight research projects relating to intelligent and sustainable energy systems at the joint stand of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia.
This year, the university management is once again calling for proposals for prizes for innovation and quality in teaching. All teaching staff are encouraged to take part in the call for proposals for the "Teaching Award for Young Academics" or the "Award for Innovation and Quality Improvement in Teaching".
