Extension and shortening of the stay
An extension or shortening is possible within the framework of the Erasmus+ programme. It is important to inform the International Office in good time.
Extension by one semester
If you would like to extend your originally planned stay abroad by one semester, please send us the corresponding application at least one month before the end of your planned period of stay (as specified in the Grant Agreement). You can download this from Mobility Online. The extension is only possible from the winter semester to the summer semester. Unfortunately, it is not possible to extend the summer semester, as the following winter semester is part of the next academic year.
The application must be signed by yourself, the Incoming Coordinator of the partner university and the Departmental Coordinator at Paderborn University.
As soon as we have received the signed application, we will extend the period of your Erasmus+ funding and issue you with a corresponding confirmation if required.
Shortening by one semester
If you would like to shorten your originally planned stay of two semesters by one semester, please inform us immediately by e-mail:
- your Incoming Coordinator at the partner university and the home university
- the Programme Officer at Paderborn University
- the Erasmus+ Programme Coordinator at Paderborn University
We will send you a written claim for reimbursement of the Erasmus+ grant you have received in excess. Please transfer the amount stated in the letter back to us as soon as possible, quoting the reason for payment.
