Drop In: Text work with AI applications
When is it useful to use AI in academic writing - in German and other languages? Whether it's about finding literature, developing ideas, writing, revising or dealing with foreign-language texts - AI applications promise quick results, but they are not always compatible with the demands of academic work. To make matters worse, it is not so easy to specify which application is appropriate for which subject.
So how does academic writing/working actually work and when is the use of AI appropriate? Our drop in (a cooperation between the Writing Competence Centre and the Writing and Learning Meeting) is your point of contact for discussing all the questions you have about AI and academic writing in a non-judgemental environment. Large language models offer many possibilities for developing texts, but they are not always compatible with the demands of scientific work. Here you can think out loud about your writing project and your strategies for dealing with AI applications. Our door is open fortnightly, every second Wednesday from 1 to 2 p.m. in H5.214. No prior registration is necessary.
"Just drop in!" every 13-14 on:
