Salary
The calculation and payment of the salaries of all civil servants is carried out by the NRW State Office for Salaries and Pensions (LBV NRW).
Civil servants' salaries are paid at the beginning of each month.
Only the LBV can provide information on salary issues. If you have any queries, please have your LBV personnel number ready, which you were given at the beginning of your employment and which can be found on every salary notification.
Civil servants are obliged to check their salary statements carefully. Furthermore, there is an obligation to inform the personnel department and the LBV immediately in writing of any changes that affect the person (e.g. change of marital status, bank details, change of address, birth of a child, etc.).
Please note:
After the certificate of appointment or transfer to Paderborn University has been issued, the LBV will be informed of the appointment as a civil servant. The LBV usually requires a processing time of up to 6 weeks for the first payment of salary, which means that there may be delays in the first payment of salary by the LBV. As a rule, an instalment is paid, which is then offset against the following months.
The LBV also does not issue a payment notification for each month. You will only receive a new payment notification if the payment amount has changed or if other significant changes have occurred (change of tax class, part-time employment, etc.). The salary notification is numbered consecutively.
If you have any questions about your salary notification, please contact unit 4.2.
