Strong teams make a strong university!

The best research, teaching and administration are not created alone, but through exchange. Team events and team building are more than just having lunch together or going on a trip together. They are the key to an inspiring, trusting and appreciative working atmosphere.

Through joint activities, we strengthen connections, promote creativity and create space for new ideas. Whether in the lab, in a seminar or in administration - when people get along well, work is easier, more creative and more successful.

To promote your team spirit, we suggest two approaches: relaxed team events and tailor-made team workshops.

Team event

Shared experiences outside of work create connections and strengthen mutual trust and empathy. When we get to know and appreciate each other outside the office, we work together more efficiently, more creatively and with a greater understanding for each other. A joint trip into nature, a cooking class or playing board games together are just a few examples of team events that can strengthen your team. If you would like to organise such an event yourself, we are happy to advise you and give you tips on suitable activities. Any costs incurred have to be borne by your unit.

In order for your event to count as working time and subsequently be billed, we must first classify your event as a team. A “Dienstreiseantrag” and a “Beschaffungsantrag” must also be submitted. You can find all information on how to apply in the team event guide.

Team build­ing

In interactive sessions, you work together with your team on your individual issues. Topics can include the distribution of tasks based on individual strengths, improving communication, stress reduction and health, intercultural competence or your team's individual challenges. We take the time to discuss your needs in detail, select a suitable trainer and arrange a date that suits your schedule. The team-building sessions are financed by us. There are no costs for you.

Team work­shops

Strengths work­shop

Participants recognise their strengths and make use of them in everyday life - for more motivation, clear tasks and better collaboration. Because with strength-orientated thinking, we understand ourselves and our colleagues better and design work processes more effectively.

Health work­shop

During the health workshop, teams identify stress-triggering factors and work together to develop solutions. These are passed on to superiors, measures are jointly decided on and then checked for implementation and effectiveness.

In­ter­cul­tur­al com­pet­ence

The workshop promotes intercultural competence in teams and groups - individually customised to your individual situation and goals. Together, cultural differences are reflected upon, communication strategies are developed and approaches for successful, conflict-sensitive cooperation are worked out.

In­di­vidu­al­ised work­shops for team de­vel­op­ment

We support team development processes with customised workshops with external facilitators - individually tailored to your initial situation and goals. Together, you will strengthen communication, team spirit and collaboration - whether you are setting up new teams or optimising existing processes.

Work shad­ow­ing

Frictional losses and tensions can arise in day-to-day work, particularly at interfaces. Work shadowing can help to promote mutual understanding across work areas and encourage joint improvement of processes.
